"Treat the customer and my co-worker as I would like to be treated” is the mission statement of Wells Brothers, a multi-faceted company located in Anna. This mission statement came about over 25 years ago when Wells Brothers began. Curt Wells, co-owner, told his wife, “If we ever have employees, I want to treat them the way I would like to be treated”. What started out with Curt, and his wife, San

dy now consists of 140 employees. began in the basement of Curt and Sandy’s home in 1989. Back then their forte’ was residential and farm electric work. Curt’s brother, Jerry joined Curt & Sandy as owners of the
company in 1990. Jerry brought his plumbing experience and knowledge to the company and thus the plumbing division was developed. Since 1990, Wells Brothers has expanded into 4 buildings, totaling 146,000 square feet, 149 trucks and a diversified skill set. Wells Brothers has evolved into industrial electric, industrial plumbing, HVAC, metal fabrication and assembly, machine rigging, system process handling, concrete & construction. Being so diversified has enabled Wells Brothers to sustain through the recent downturn economy. This diversification is a common thread when an employee is highlighted in their monthly newsletter. Time and time again the comment is that “The diversification makes it enjoyable working at Wells Brothers. There is always something different; a chance to learn additional skills.” This sentiment is very common among all of our employees. It’s due to their enthusiasm, the willingness to learn new skills and to satisfy the customer’s expectations that has made Wells Brothers such a fast growing company. Wells Brothers began as family owned and is still family owned today. Curt, Jerry & Sandy have seen a lot of changes occur over the years. As Sandy puts it, back when starting out, she couldn’t wait to purchase their first fax machine so that quotes and such could be received by the customer much faster than traditional mail. Now the fax is almost extinct as everything is scanned and emailed.

2014 not only marked the 25th anniversary of Wells Brothers but also marked the beginning of a pilot program that Wells Brothers initiated in order to help employees be the best version of themselves. Wells Brothers achieved certification to be a NCCER nationally accredited training facility. We are offering our employees an opportunity to advance their skill set by taking ABC training classes here at our facility. These classes can be in the various skill sets that Wells Brothers offers and also in leadership training as well. Curt and two employees stepped forward and completed a “train the trainer” seminar so that they can facilitate the training to the other employees. A number of the employees at Wells Brothers have taken advantage of this pilot program to advance their career growth and skills. Culture gets built through the way people treat each other every day.

At Wells Brothers, Walk in T.R.U.T.H. gives our team a common standard for doing that well.
Trust means being dependable and open to other ideas.
Respect comes through our actions and the way we speak to people.
Understanding starts with listening and asking questions.
Teaching means sharing experience and leading by example.
Honesty means communicating openly and taking ownership of our work.
These values shape how our people work together, how leaders support their teams, and how we approach relationships with customers.
They have become part of the everyday expectations inside Wells Brothers and continue to guide the culture we are building.

Safety has a direct effect on the kind of team you build.

At Wells Brothers, training starts during orientation and continues throughout an employee’s career.
Daily Job Hazard Analysis, weekly toolbox talks, OSHA 10 training, annual refreshers, and Stop Work Authority give our people the knowledge and responsibility to look out for themselves and the crew around them.
That consistency has helped build a culture where speaking up is expected, people watch out for each other, and everyone understands the goal of getting home safely at the end of the day.
We are proud of the people who carry that mindset into every shop and jobsite.

Teaching in the trades affects more than the person being trained.

It affects safety, schedule reliability, workmanship, and whether a facility can count on the same level of work from one project phase to the next.

This month’s Trust Through the Trades article looks at why teaching has become such an important part of industrial contracting.
As experienced tradespeople retire and skilled labor gets harder to find, contractors need a real process for passing knowledge from seasoned workers to newer team members.

At Wells Brothers, that shows up through daily safety habits, in house OSHA 10 training, Job Hazard Analysis, toolbox talks, Stop Work Authority, and cross training across electrical, mechanical, fabrication, rigging, line install, and construction.

For facility leaders, this gives you one more thing to look for when choosing a contractor.

Ask how people are trained.
Ask who teaches the next crew.
Ask how field knowledge gets passed down after orientation is over.

A good recommendation carries weight when a facility is investing in unfamiliar equipment.

In this testimonial, John talks about buying a second extruder from a brand that was new to their team at the time.

They were learning the technology, working through the next step, and the equipment company pointed them toward Wells Brothers.

That kind of referral means a lot because it comes from people who understand the work and know what the installation requires.
It speaks to trust built through past performance, clear coordination, and the ability to support customers when the project carries real operational importance.

We're grateful for the customers and industry partners who continue to put confidence in our team.

Walking in T.R.U.T.H. at Wells Brothers 🤝

What a great way to start our Friday morning at Wells Brothers! We had our company chaplain, Father Nathan, in-house with us today, helping us begin the morning with prayer, reflection, and a reminder of what truly matters. Our employee meeting was a great opportunity to come together and focus on safety, quality, teamwork, appreciation, and the culture we’re continuing to build here at Wells Brothers.

One moment that especially stood out was hearing about Rodney sharing our “Walk in T.R.U.T.H.” message with a customer who asked about it. What started as a simple question turned into a great conversation about what we’re trying to teach and live out here at Wells.

Treat your co-workers and customers the way you want to be treated.

That’s more than just a saying on a wall, it’s the kind of culture we want to see in our everyday actions, conversations, and relationships.

And to our employees: thank you. Seeing you support and represent our “Walk in T.R.U.T.H.” message means more to us than you know. When our team believes in the values we’re trying to build together and carries them outside these walls, that’s when we know it’s becoming something bigger than a motto.

We’re proud of our people, proud of the culture we’re building, and grateful for everyone who continues to help make Wells Brothers a place where T.R.U.T.H. is something we live, not just something we say.

So, are you walking in T.R.U.T.H.? 💙

At Wells Brothers, Walk in T.R.U.T.H. is part of how the work gets done.

It shows up in the way teammates earn trust, treat each other with respect, ask better questions, share what they know, and communicate honestly when something needs attention.

Those habits matter in the trades because every project depends on people working closely together, making clear decisions, and taking care of the customer and the crew around them.

This is the culture we work to build every day.
A culture where experienced people pass knowledge forward, new teammates are encouraged to ask questions, and customers can count on a team that takes the relationship as seriously as the job itself.

The Wells Brothers way comes through in the work and in the way people are taught.

Heather talks about pride, quality, repeat customers, and training people the right way as they come into the trades.

That matters because a strong culture has to be lived in the shop, in the field, and in the way experienced people take time to help newer teammates learn.

Customers feel that over time.
They see crews that care about the final result, people who take ownership of the work, and a team that keeps building skills from one generation of tradespeople to the next.

When a customer has a tight production commitment, the installation plan has to account for the whole system.

For this bottle manufacturing project, Wells Brothers supported the installation of 8 new blow molding lines in a roughly 3 month window.

Our team unloaded and set the blow mold machines, installed downstream equipment, chillers, compressors, stainless steel piping, power, pneumatic convey, and color feeders, while coordinating with the OEM, city, and local utilities.

The goal was clear from the start:
Get the equipment and utilities installed in time for the customer to meet the requirements of their contract.
The work helped them satisfy that contract and later led into Phase II with three additional lines.

We're proud of projects like this because they show what full scope coordination can do for a facility with real production targets.

At Wells Brothers, people notice when they are listened to.

CJ says the company listens, helps when needed, and has your back.

That kind of support matters when someone is building a career in the trades. You learn faster when experienced people are willing to answer questions.

You take on more responsibility when the team around you wants to see you succeed. You do better work when you know you are part of a crew that takes care of its people.

Wells Brothers is hiring across electrical, mechanical millwright, skilled trades, pipefitting and plumbing, welding and fabrication, and concrete and construction roles.
