Seeing Dakari’s story on WKYT means a lot to me. 💙

Through MakeGood, I had the honor of printing a chair for Dakari and delivering it to his family. Hearing his mom, Joy, talk about what it means for him to move around their home and take part in family life puts every hour of work into perspective.

Proud to announce that our next 3D Mobility project — Ollie’s chair — is now FULLY FUNDED! ❤️💙

Because of everyone who donated, shared, and supported this project, we now have everything needed to get started.

Here is the first rough draft of Ollie’s chair design!

We may still make a few adjustments along the way, but it’s exciting to finally see his chair starting to come together.

A huge thank you to Dryden Elementary School for putting together this Quarter Drive to support the HallForge 3D Mobility Build Project! 💙

Every quarter helps us provide mobility chairs completely free to families who need them. Seeing a local school and community get behind this project means more than I can put into words.

Their goal is to help fund 5 chairs — and I’m excited to see what we can accomplish together!

Our very first 3D Mobility chair is officially finished! 💙💚

After a lot of printing, assembly, testing, and care, Dakari’s chair is complete and will soon be delivered to his family.

This project means a lot to us. Knowing that something made right here in Appalachia can help give a child more freedom, comfort, and mobility is exactly why we wanted to be part of 3D Mobility.

Our next 3D Mobility project is #3430!

Once Dakari’s mobility chair is finished, Hallforge 3D will begin building a customized chair for Ollie, a 4-year-old in Kentucky. His chair will feature green and bright primary colors to make it truly special.

Each chair is provided to the family completely free of charge, but the materials cost approximately $166. We have already raised $50, leaving $116 needed to fully fund this build.

Every donation—large or small—brings us one step closer. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post can make a real difference!

Mobility Project Update

Here’s a look at the progress on the mobility chair I’m currently building for a family in need.

As you can see, the main body of the chair is really starting to come together. A large portion of the printed structure has now been assembled, and it’s finally beginning to look like the finished chair we’ve been working toward.

There is still more work to do before it’s ready for the family, but every printed part, piece of hardware, and hour these machines run gets us one step closer.

One of my favorite parts about these projects is watching a pile of filament slowly turn into something that can make a real difference in a child’s everyday life.

Everything you see here has been printed and assembled right here in Appalachia, Virginia, and when the chair is complete, it will be hand delivered to the family.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the project, displayed one of the flyers, or helped spread the word. Your support is helping keep the printers running and helping me continue building these mobility devices for families who need them.
