Proof that a smart budget and great communication can build something special. 🍕 We turned a former fitness studio into one of the west side's favorite pizza spots in just four months. Reclaimed wood on the walls, counter and bar, the original floor salvaged and sealed with hospital-grade epoxy, and a walk-in freezer tucked cleverly under the stairs.

The star of the show? A custom wood-fired oven built in Italy by Valoriani, with the whole open kitchen designed around it.

Backyard, meet resort. 🌴 For these Aptos owners we moved massive amounts of sloped earth to carve out a blank canvas, then built their personal Shangri-la on top of it. The result is a pool, custom hardscape and lighting, a patio nook, a cabana bar, and a multi-level putting green, all flowing together into one seriously good place to entertain.

A full gut remodel with a few surprises up its sleeve. 🎬 We took this Seacliff home down and rebuilt it into something extraordinary — hydronic heated floors, a photovoltaic solar system, hand-scraped American Walnut floors, and lime-finished walls. Then the fun stuff: a hidden drop-down 101″ movie screen, a retractable roof over the primary bedroom, a crow's-nest office, and a subterranean w**e cellar. All with Monterey Bay views.

Influenced by the small French town of Menton just kilometers away from the Italian border, Restaurateur and Executive Chef, David Kinch, worked with RVH Designs and Testorff Construction to bring this causal Mediterranean restaurant to the Aptos Village. This was a very collaborative effort between all parties, to ensure the vision of the restaurant was achieved.

The team at Testorff met the challenge by creating an experience as soon as you lay eyes on the building thanks to the exterior design and colors. In addition to the sate of the art kitchen and beautifully done bar areas, the open concept restaurant contains specific details brought from the Franco-Italian Riviera. Old world venetian style plaster, leather brown stained floors, custom mill work, and a painted “rug” are just a few of the details that transport patrons to another place. The restaurant was literally built around a custom Italian pizza oven, as that was the first piece to be installed even before framing due to it’s size and location requirements.
