DK Plastics was established in 1995 to help meet the growing need for heavy gauge sheet plastic. We are a successful, family-owned corporation, with our manufacturing facilities headquartered in Archer, Iowa. Our parent company, Dave De Kok, Inc. was established in 1963. In 1998, we extruded our first HDPE sheets in a new 6000 square foot building. Our business has grown steadily, and in 2007 we a

dded a third extruder, requiring a new building. We began extruding in our new 40,000 square foot building in September of 2007. Our original building houses our thermoforming equipment.

1. Learn and understand all line operations including material handling, extruder, chill rolls, pull roll and shear operations.
2. Responsible for all hourly quality control tests, record results in the daily log; cooling/measuring sheets and correctly reading a measuring tape.
3. Ensure that all sheets meet quality inspection including but not limited to color, no surface defects, and dimensions are accurate before the finished product goes on the pallet. Correct quantity as per work order specifications MUST be verified before pallet is pulled.
4. Assist with machine repairs, maintenance as needed. This includes changing rolls, this is not one certain individual’s job… it’s everyone’s!!
5. Learn and operate grinders.
6. Notify supervisor/management of continuing problems concerning operation or production problems.
7. Verbally communicate with others to find out or pass on problems incurred during your shift, operating situations and status.
8. Troubleshoot and adjust operation problems to maximize production!! Work together with your co-workers, everyone’s job is easier with teamwork!
9. Keep entire plant clean, uncluttered, free of trash, dry and organized at all times.
10. Must be physically capable of repetitive lifting (approx. 75 lbs)
