A legacy is the long last lasting impact that someone leaves behind after they've gone. And this man left the impact of hard work and dedication. "Easy" is only a four letter word" he would say. Don't shy away from your dreams and goals just because the work seems hard. Go the extra mile or two, make it work with what you have and do it right the first time. His hard teachings cultivated the ambitions of his children and grandchildren and sprouted a wide range of entrepreneurial pursuits, such as his son's and son in law's businesses: Foster tree trimming, CC Guttering and Walks of Life. As well as his grandchildren's businesses: Prairie springs Ranch horse training, Roper remodel and construction, Roper Dirt Service and Mercy Thornton photography. This man's ambition has grown and rooted deep into this community and will live on for years to come.

Gary M. Foster, 80, of Abbyville, died December 24, 2024, in rural Kansas. He was born September 5, 1944, in Hutchinson, to Darrel and Elaine Ehling Foster. Gary was a lifelong farmer and rancher with a great love for his cattle and sheep. He was a tremendously hard worker but
