As the growing season approached, we began preparing our garden by giving the soil a light till to work in the wood chips and compost we had been saving up. The tiller moved through the beds at a shallow depth, gently breaking up the surface without disturbing the deeper soil structure, while folding in the rich, dark compost and partially broken-down wood chips throughout. This combination promised to do wonders for the soil โ the compost delivering an immediate boost of nutrients and beneficial microbes, while the wood chips would continue to break down slowly, improving drainage and long-term organic matter. It was satisfying work, watching the amendments disappear into the earth, knowing that all that effort was laying the foundation for a productive and healthy garden season ahead. Stay tuned for updates and plants we will continue to upgrade the garden happy Wednesday we should be able to plant by the weekend but we will see how the week goes
