This driveway had reached the end of its life. We removed the old asphalt and regraded the area to prepare for a fresh, properly compacted gravel base before the new installation.

Drainage and base preparation are everything when it comes to driveways — if the foundation isn’t right, the surface won’t last.

I completed the original estimate for this project and was back on-site to make sure the grading and prep matched the plan before moving forward.

Met with a homeowner in Henderson County this week to measure and plan a concrete slab for a new shed. Their HOA requires sheds to be placed on a permanent concrete foundation, so we walked the property, discussed layout options, and reviewed county requirements before moving forward.

In Henderson County, sheds must have a 5-foot setback from side and rear property lines. A zoning permit is required, and if the structure is over 12 feet long, a building permit is also required. These are important details to know before starting your project.
