Abraham Lincoln didn't go to government school. You can still visit his family's cabin. He taught himself to read and write. Public education exists mainly to provide babysitting services so moms can go to work. Many second grade teachers go on to achieve a PHD to get the highest pay possible, work only 9 months a year, retire with expensive pensions. They are mainly working to get those eternal golden years vacations. No bad teacher is ever fired. Teachers are trained to tell stacks of lies to our children and make them get used to standing lines. Public schools are the largest employers in every town. Close them all down. Sell the real estate and send the money to the citizens. Singles and Childless couples should not have to pay for babysitting services for others. Parents that want education can buy it from private schools that they control and choose. College should only be for the 10% who are brilliant, and all private. We don't need more lawyers. We need plumbers, carpenters, air conditioning workers, and plumbers.
