On Saturday, we spent a few hours supporting our sister company, Poundtown Piling Fabrication LLC, with the Clipinator 3000. The initial version (1.0) didn't provide enough light, so we installed adjustable overhead lights with controls for both direction and intensity.
With the lighting addressed, we transitioned to preparing a reinforced wooden shipping crate to ensure the finished product can be received safely and in proper condition. Our new apprentice began welding the clips, and once inspected, they were transferred to the holding crate, awaiting completion of this order of 5,000.
Finally, we began cleaning up the shop. The changes we made created some temporary clutter, so we introduced a new rule: while in the shop, put away five items.
It’s slow progress, but we’re steadily getting the workspace back to where we want it.
