Since 1968 Bergerson Construction has been serving a variety of clients throughout the Northwest, in both Oregon and Washington. Our marine projects include piledriving, seawalls, bulkheads, cofferdams, fender systems, bridge and pier structures, floating structures, dredging, shoreline protection, marine outfalls and intakes, waterfront remediation and demolition. Land based projects include but are not limited to pile driving, deep foundations, bridge construction and shoring. Our fleet of cranes, barges and other construction equipment allow us to serve on both marine and land-based projects. We also maintain a fleet of sectional barges for a nimble approach to a variety marine sites including lakes and non-navigable bodies of water. Safety, Integrity and Quality have always been the cornerstones of each of our projects. Marine contractor seeking full time experienced piledriver/welder.
Documented experience in piledriving & welding. Typical tasks include:

• Rigging & signaling for crane work, welding & steel work, carpentry, and general labor as necessary to install or remove steel, timber or concrete piles
• Welding, Steel Fabrication and other activities for construction of bridges, piers, wharves, seawalls, cofferdams, marinas, etc.
• Demolition or repair of similar of structures.

Work may be performed on the land or over the water from a barge, work boat or work platform.

Must be willing to work on out-of-town projects throughout the Northwest. Candidates must be physically and mentally capable performing prescribed duties, including lifting 50 lbs. or more, bending, kneeling and or standing for long periods of time, working in high stress situations, following directions and able complete all trainings in a timely manner. Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation required. A pre-employment drug screen will be administered. Competitive wages and benefits.

Piledriving is sometimes considered a trade that relies on brute force. While that is often true, some projects require great precision as well. This pedestrian bridge foundation in Kalama, WA is one of those projects. 24" diameter pipe piles driven to depths of up to 150', with a combination of plumb and battered piles - All driven on from a small staging area sandwiched between high-voltage powerlines and a sloping shoreline, all adjacent to highly active rail lines. Thanks to careful project planning by the project team, we have been able to achieve success!
