We’re wrapping up the week on Li-Berty with the full 3/4-inch plywood wall installed, window openings trimmed, cable drops in place, and drilling underway for the battery mounts.

Customer work comes first, though. A mobile Blood Bank van from Louisiana is in the shop for a battery upgrade as we install two 48V Goliaths for their off-grid power, so Todd’s own upgrade takes a back seat for a bit.

Hopefully next week we’ll start getting equipment on the wall. Follow along as this 48V rebuild comes together!

A cool, rainy morning at the GDRV Capital Owners Rally! 🌧️

Our mobile road crew FLOW Mobile RV Services arrived Wednesday and are settling in for the October 14–18 rally at Cherry Hill Park in College Park, Maryland. Five participants joined us for a small gathering this morning. Thanks to everyone who came out despite the rain!

Day 4 of Li-Berty’s upgrade!
Between meetings and part of the crew being on vacation, today is a lighter build day. The new wall is taking shape, the window opening is cut, and more cabling is going in.

Todd also walks through something he’s testing on his own system: different battery cable lengths. He’ll be monitoring how the batteries share the load and making adjustments if needed. It’s an experiment we’ll be following throughout the build.

Day 3 of Todd’s system upgrade, and there’s a lot to consider with this rebuild! 🔋
With four 48V Goliath batteries, two Victron 10K inverters, and all that solar, Todd is working through battery placement, weight distribution, and mounting support before everything goes in.

He’s also answering your questions about cable sizing and planning the routing to keep this install clean through some tight spaces.

Day 2 of Todd’s system upgrade, and unfortunately for him, our customers always take top priority. 😂

We’re comparing the Quattro 5K inverters to the much bigger 10Ks and figuring out how to fit the batteries, support the inverters, and keep the weight in check.
Did the old inverters do the job? Yep. Does Todd still want a bigger system? Also yep.

Then a Newell rolls in with electrical issues, and the fifth wheel goes on pause while the team gets to work helping another customer.

Stick around for day 3, when we might actually get back to Todd’s system. 🤞

We've had some massive builds this year! and now Todd wants an upgrade. 😂
So he's pulling out his 24V system, swapping in a 48V setup, and adding another solar panel. Because a couple of our own customers now have more power than he does, and he’s taking that personally.
