A country home and matching shop that have stood the test of time. 🏡

We built this steel home and matching shop back in 2002, and both are still going strong 24 years later. Recently the owners came back to us to expand the shop, giving them more room for their projects while keeping the same look that ties the whole property together.

If you’re dreaming of a farmhouse, a country home on a few acres, or a quiet homestead with room for your trucks, tools, and projects, a steel building home is built to last and grow with you. Low maintenance, made for Texas weather, and customized to the way you actually live. Your dream is not as far as you think when you choose to build with us.

As promised, here’s a look at the steel building behind Round Prairie Baptist Fairfield. This 120'x100'x20' pre-engineered metal building with a 2/12 roof pitch was designed and manufactured by Athens Steel Building Corp right here in East Texas. Its clear-span structure gave the church the open space to build out a worship center, lobby, coffee bar, nursery, and children’s ministry wing exactly the way they envisioned.

Thank you again, Round Prairie, for trusting us with this build, and thank you to our sales rep, Rory, for helping make it happen. Planning a new church building? Let’s talk: (903) 675-5733 or visit our website to get your quote started!

Every church building starts with a congregation that believes there’s more ministry ahead.

For Round Prairie Baptist Fairfield, that meant a 120'x100'x20' 2/12 church campus, and they made every inch of it their own. Step inside and you’ll find a welcoming lobby where people are greeted by name, a coffee bar that’s open every weekday for anyone who wants to stop by, a nursery where parents can worship with peace of mind, and a children’s ministry wing where kids can’t wait to come back.

Athens Steel Building Corp is honored to have designed and manufactured the pre-engineered steel building behind it all. We provided the structure. Round Prairie filled it with personality, purpose, and a whole lot of heart.

“Professional, reliable, and quality craftsmanship.” ~ Pastor George, Round Prairie Baptist Church

Thank you, Pastor George and the Round Prairie family, for trusting us with this build. It’s a joy to see your church gathering and growing here.

Want to see it for yourself? Round Prairie Baptist Church is hosting a Fall Festival and Chili Cookoff on Sunday, October 25, following 10 a.m. worship. Everyone is welcome to come by, enjoy the day, and check out the building.

Come back tomorrow for a video that takes you through the steel building itself, from the outside in. If your church is praying about more space for ministry, we’d love to talk: (903) 675-5733 | athenssteelbuilding.com

Meet Jason, our estimator who has been here at ASB for 26 years! 🎱

Every building we quote goes across his desk, and he takes the time to make sure every piece is accounted for. His tip for anyone getting a building? Pick your colors early. If they aren't selected by the time your project heads to drafting, it can affect production times.

When he's not in the office, you'll find him in his garden or at the pool table. Jason plays professional pool, so it's safe to say precision comes naturally.

Drop a 👋 to say hi to Jason!

A closer look at this East Texas home and shop. 📸

The house looks just like a traditional home, with natural stone along the bottom, a wood-beam front porch, and a dark exterior tucked right into the trees. Out back, the shop matches with red trim, a big garage door, and a covered side area with room for the backhoe and tractor.

One property, one look, all steel.
