What started as a simple dock repair quickly turned into a full structural rebuild. Once we began removing the rotten sections, we discovered that most of the outer portion of the dock was unsafe and no longer walkable.
Our team tore out the entire left side of the dock and rebuilt it stronger and sturdier than before. The closet floor had begun sinking into the lake, so we installed new joists and added new piers to fully stabilize the structure. The original walkway had been built with small lag bolts and severely rotted framing, so we completely rebuilt it using heavy-duty carriage bolts for long-term durability.
We also replaced 6 warped structural support posts at the customerโs request. To complete the repair properly, we carefully jacked up the roof and installed new 6x6 support posts to provide a much stronger foundation for the entire boathouse.
The finished result looks beautiful, feels solid, and will serve this customer well for years to come. Weโre thankful for the opportunity to bring this dock back to life!
