As part of our highlighting the faces that make North Idaho Propane what it is today, we want to introduce you to Scott!

Scott has been with us for 8 years and is retiring (again) to pursue other adventures. He is a dependable, hard working & dedicated man. He did various jobs in the office, filled small bottles, painted tanks, customer service, etc. He is always a light in the room! We are honored that he chose to work at NIP.

A little bit about Scott - In 1955, he was born the youngest of 3 in Wallace, Idaho. After high school, he attended college & also served in the Army. It was around this time he was helping his brother move into a rental when he met Le'tana (who was cleaning the rental) and the rest is history. It was love at first sight; she said "smitten" was how she felt. They have been married 51 years! They have 5 kids, 13 grandchildren & one great grandchild.

Scott has done many jobs in his life. He has done well drilling, millwork, & was a Foreman for the Idaho Dept. of Transportation for 33 years. He started with us in 2018 where he said he felt included & appreciated.

His favorite hobbies are: hunting, softball, wood working, stream fishing, camping, atvs, & boating. He was an ASA umpire for college girls fast pitch. He also coached for the Post Falls High School football junior tackle team. He said he loves picking rasberries & huckleberries while Le'tana reads a book.

He said "I have had a full life of doing many things; nothing was impossible for me. I followed the Lord & worked hard."

He will be GREATLY missed! Enjoy your retirement Scott!!!! ❤️

We are very excited to donate a silent auction item to the Cowboy Ball this year! We teamed up with Black Sheep Sporting goods with a beautiful Arait purse, Stanley mug & much more! We hope they have a great event tonight at the Fairgrounds! All for a good cause! ❤️

We are excited to introduce the names & faces that make North Idaho Propane what it is today. To start off, we are highlighting Dan!

Dan is our General Manager. He started with us 24 years ago where he has been a delivery driver & then a service technician before moving into Management. He has proven himself to be a great Leader of the crew! Proud to have him!

Why he loves working here:
"Because it is a locally owned small business. You don't feel that huge disconnect between the company owners, employees & customers like you get when working for a larger corporation. You're not a number, you're a person. I also appreciate how the owners support our community by donating to various youth sports, 4H Agriculture programs, etc. It is an extremely caring & compassionate organization that I am very proud to lead."

A little bit about Dan:
"I tend to be a fairly reserved person. My wife & I prefer to stay close to home where we enjoy our backyard & camping in the mountains. My favorite hobby is restoring cars! It is something that my brother and I have done for many years. We have even earned several awards for some of our work. Basically, when I am not at work, you can find me in my backyard, in my shop, or in the woods!"
