Just wanted to give an update on how things have been going over at and let folks know what all we've been up to the past few months. For those who don't know, we got a funky bit of property at the beginning of the year and have slowly been building it out using sustainable low-impact development practices and utilizing pretty much entirely salvaged or second-hand materials. This 20'x12' shed is made out of old pallet racking, metal from and the soon to be installed roof and siding we found on marketplace. As well as bits and bobs that have been floating about the shop. Expect lots of beautiful naturally aged patina.

We also just picked up Lulu on marketplace. Lulu is a vintage 1978 Thomson Claymore camper so we have a place to nest. She's adorable.

I'm still accepting work, because welding rod isn't free. However, I won't be chasing that grind as hard as I have been the past few years while establishing this business. I'm still here, but you're unlikely to see as much marketing posts. Most of you who actually know me irl know that entrepreneurship was only ever appealing to me for the independence is allowed and freedom to move away from the clutches of capitalism. Not to perpetuate it. So the (semi) off grid homestead life has always been the dream. Slag Hollow is the balance and y'all are welcome to follow that journey on that IG or YT (yes, we're youtubers now 😆).

Let me start by saying I actually love HF. It's my Sephora. But their haulmaster etrack production line needs to have better quality control. Ok ok, pretty much everything needs better quality control. I'm there to save money, not buy quality tools and they just have so much nifty stuff.

Now, it's obvious that these welds were done by a robot. I assume a fly landed on the spot with porosity and the zapping of said fly knocked the bot out of calibration or something. Idk. I don't care.
I gave this one to an employee and told them to take it off the floor.
I am mildly obsessed with unlocking the potential for these etrack things though, so I found the blank clips on ebay and will be welding up my own custom accessories at some point so if anyone has any ideas for those lmk.

56 linear foot of rail to assist with getting up and down this incredibly sloped driveway for a mature but lively couple in the Northside. I got quite a workout putting this one together. Pictures do not convey the concrete slide aspect of this driveway. It's overly wide pump track meets a halfpipe. It's a small mountainous hike to check the mail. It's friggin steep.

Not wanting to risk parking on the slope with my shoddy brakes, I parked at the top and ran up and down with gear, because gains 💪.

In any case, the hike is safer now.

Two custom F450 overhauls with the big dump box on the tan, along with a bumper repair and hitch addition. Both got cab cages with shelves for gear and cargo storage and the orange got underbed boxes for hand tools.
