Job Description: Line Truck Operator
(The needs Line Truck Operator possesses a Class A CDL License)
• Possess all the following trait: Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Punctuality, and Organization skills.
• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work on utility poles and other infrastructure.
• Be proficient in safe operation of line truck and drilling equipment. (Operational experience with equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, mini-excavators, knuckle cranes, etc. is also desirable)
• Possess professional demeanor and interact in a positive way with fellow crew members, general public and customer representatives.
• Willing to learn the basic knowledge of proper techniques for operating near OH and UG utility lines.
• Maintain company vehicle, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Willing to learn the basic understanding of construction blueprints and how to follow under direction.
• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Willing to learn the proper use and maintenance of hand tools.
• Capable of receiving and following directions.
• Able/willing to function within a Team environment and share knowledge with fellow crew members as appropriate.
• Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in OH and UG utility construction work.
• Understands the basic concepts of equipment set up.
• Capable of working in/around confined spaces.
• Willing to learn the knowledge to properly inspect rubber goods, cover and PPE.
• Able/willing to travel long distances on short notice, when required.
• Able/willing to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.(Out of state, storm work, etc.)
• Able/willing to work overtime frequently.
• Complete timesheets & billing worksheets daily.
