🏆 Another Award of Excellence from ABC of Georgia! The Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia has earned this recognition in the Institutional category, marking our second Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia this season.

This ~89,000-SF facility was a challenging build, not a conventional classroom building, but a space engineered to replicate real-world EV and lithium-ion battery manufacturing environments, complete with high-bay training spaces and advanced labs for robotics, mechatronics, welding, and automated assembly.

As the "front door" to Hyundai Motor Group's Metaplant America, the largest economic development project in Georgia history, this building had to deliver on an accelerated schedule with zero room for error. At peak production, more than 150 workers were on site daily. The coordination it took to keep that many trades moving in sync and on schedule was a feat in and of itself.

This award belongs to every trade partner and every crew member who showed up day after day to build something this specialized, this fast, and this well. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Our Atlanta team recently completed the buildout of a 7,200-SF space for City School Atlanta, expanding the school's capacity to serve additional students and grade levels. City School Atlanta is part of City of Refuge, an Atlanta nonprofit doing important work providing housing, job training, and support for individuals and families in crisis.

The scope included six classrooms, a nurses' office, counselor and staff offices, a multipurpose space with reception, a catering kitchen, restrooms, an AV/IT room, and storage. Exterior improvements added stair reconfiguration, a new double-door entry, and an exterior canopy.

The project team kept near-daily communication with the owner's team throughout construction, building strong relationships with campus staff and staying ahead of potential challenges along the way.

We're proud to support City School Atlanta as they grow their campus and serve more students! Thank you to our talented partners for making this project possible.

Following the completion of the Amenity Space at Oaks at Whitaker Glen in Raleigh, NC, we're excited to begin the next phase of development for our valued client, PruittHealth.

This 96,000-SF phase includes construction of eight four-story residences, The Flats, designed for single-level living, along with extensive site work to support future phases of the community. The Flats feature wood-frame construction integrated with structural steel, CMU, and cast-in-place concrete foundation walls. The exterior is clad in high-quality finishes including brick, simulated stone, and siding. Each home is thoughtfully designed with a private balcony, basement, and garage.

We're grateful for the opportunity to continue building on this vibrant senior living campus and to help welcome future residents home.

As part of our celebration of America's 250th, we're honoring the veterans in our community, starting with Mark Eister, who joined us as a speaker at our Operation Gratitude event.

Mark and his wife Tina both dreamed of serving their country since they were kids. In 1990, three years into marriage, they left their corporate jobs behind and joined the Army together.

Mark spent over 21 years in active service, rising to Sergeant Major (E-9), with assignments across the U.S. and overseas tours in Germany, South Korea and Hawaii, plus a combat deployment to Afghanistan. Fifteen moves in 21 years gave him a firsthand understanding of the sacrifices military families make.

Today, Mark is VP of Operations at The Warrior Alliance in Atlanta, helping veterans navigate the transition to civilian life, work he's been doing for over a decade, including 10 years leading military outreach at Georgia State.

He and Tina raised four kids, two of whom followed them into service, and they now have grandkids of their own.

For Mark, this 250th feels personal. Having seen more than 20 countries during his career, he's come home with an even deeper appreciation for what we have here, and he's committed to doing his part so it lasts another 250 years.

Thank you for your service, Mark, and thank you for joining us as our guest speaker at our Operation Gratitude event in Atlanta!

A luxury automotive experience starts long before a customer gets behind the wheel.

Our Atlanta team recently completed a 24,200-SF renovation and expansion for RBM of Alpharetta, enhancing one of the region's premier Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The project expanded the showroom, added office space and a five-bay New Vehicle Delivery area, and refreshed the exterior façade, all executed in three phases around a fully operational dealership.

One of the more interesting challenges: the team built the new exterior wall around the existing structure, then demoed the old one from the inside so the store never had to close, prioritizing safety through design throughout the entire process. Aggressive buyout, a temporary service drive, and clear communication kept the project moving, and the team delivered 40 days ahead of schedule.

Grateful to the team and our talented partners for bringing this project across the finish line!
