To declare your concentration you need to do TWO things:

1. Send an email stating your new track to: [email protected]

2. Enter your concentration online

Instructions to Add/Remove/Modify Concentration:

Go to Buzzport/Oscar and select:

Student Services and Financial Aid
Student Records
Change Program of Study
Change your Concentration
Select Program
Major Concentration Drop down menu
Submit Changes
Done

ISyE 4801 - Sports Analytics:

It's a 1-credit seminar, meeting Mondays from 4-6pm. This topic of sports analytics is an emerging new area. It's about using data, data analysis, algorithms, computing, and visualization in sports and sports management. MIT's Sloan School and ESPN have been running a conference on this topic for the last few years. See http://www.sloansportsconference.com/.

We plan to have an invited speaker most weeks. Perhaps we'll even have some famous names you might recognize. For the seminar last spring, for example, we had speakers from ESPN and Stats LLC, and we had GT AD Dan Radakovich.
