We think of the Sun as a warm, silent ball of light.
But in reality, it is a deafening, continuous nuclear explosion.
The only reason we can't hear it is because sound needs a medium (like air) to travel, and space is a vacuum.
But what if space had air?
If the 93 million miles between us and the Sun were filled with atmosphere, the sound of the solar surface would travel all the way to Earth.
Even after traveling that massive distance, the noise hitting Earth would be around 100-125 decibels.
That is the equivalent of:
🔊 A train horn blowing constantly.
🔊 A chainsaw running right next to your head.
🔊 A rock concert that never ends.
We wouldn't be able to speak, sleep, or think. We would all be deaf within days.
The vacuum of space isn't just "empty." It is the ultimate soundproof wall that keeps us sane.
