Meet our team:
This is Taylor Eicher, Wife of the owner and Mr. Blue Skies aka Kristian Eicher! Tomorrow will be 8 years of marriage (August 25th) & mother to 2 amazing girls Willow 6 and Magnolia 2!
Her passion for houses was discovered in the 6th grade where she found her love for Remax.com and looking at Real Estate daily and purposely memorizing street names, counties, addresses, and school districts around the area for fun! Her parents moved every few years and fixed up the homes to sell them until she found her parents dream home in the 8th grade! BUT Taylor had a continued passion and vision for houses after finding her parents dream home and thought she’d become a realtor, but was told to get her business degree incase she didn’t decide to pursue that! While attending Grace College in her senior year 2016, her dad unexpectedly passed away 2 1/2 weeks after a cancer diagnosis and had to switch to online “adult” college classes in order to work full time and help support herself and mother.
After she graduated from college 3 months later, she got a job where she and her mom volunteered for fun at The Depot Thrift Store as an assistant manager. This is where she earned enough money to buy a piece of repossessed land that had Lake Wawasee access and “flipped it” to pay off her college debts in 2 years! The Depot Thrift Store is also how she met Mr. Blue Skies as the company he worked for was remodeling the building! Unfortunately her employers quit/ she was robbed from and was managing over 200 volunteers by herself and needed a less stressful job and the cute guy she had lunch with sometimes had a life threatening accident that she never knew if she’d see him again! At this same time, her mom was in need of a different home preferably with less sq ft and yard, so she got a job with the realtor who was helping them find a house for her mom after his wife passed away from cancer. So, Taylor got to do her dream job of flipping houses, whole sales, and short sales until the business started to disintegrate partnerships with her bosses due to another cancer diagnosis. (She hates cancer with a passion!) BUT while this was happening, she was able to find her moms dream home, find herself a home in a town she always wanted to live in, and reunite with the cute guy from her old job who happened to be wanting a wife, a house to renovate and flip to be able to move in the future (aka Atwood where we are now), and had a job available for her at the place where he worked in the office!
She loved her job there as it was in Building Supplies/ Materials and since she loved everything to do with houses, this was an added bonus for her brain’s filing cabinet system which came in handy when she got a job with a new construction builder doing payables, receivables, interior/exterior design and eventually one flip house! It also helped her husband who had just started his own construction company which she supported 💯 & helped him when she wasn’t working 60plus hours a week! However, with an unexpected turn of events when she became 36 weeks pregnant with our youngest Magnolia, Taylor joined the Blue Skies Team officially full time!
As you can tell, Taylor’s passions include remodeling/designing! She has always sought to find how to make a house feel like a home again, especially those in major disrepair! She is also a huge supporter for community! She is constantly looking out at the food pantry located by our home and restocking/ running freezer food supplies out to people if it’s empty. She also has recently officially joined the Atwood Lions Club, the Atwood Community Building, and is a rotational Sunday school teacher 3 months out of the year for her church.
Her current hobbies include finding deals, making healthy delicious meals ( her maiden name was Cook and she loves to cook and makes killer steak), she LOVES decorating her porch seasonally/ making wreaths, and spending time with her family!
She has a servants heart and is always seeking out how to help someone out especially in gift giving! She is a great asset/ partner to our Blue Skies Team!
