This past month, two of our team members had the opportunity to attend the 2026 Philips Turnkey Construction Conference in Nashville, TN hosted by Philips. The conference brought together industry leaders from across the country and offered valuable insight into the future of turnkey healthcare delivery, with a strong focus on speed, collaboration, and ex*****on.

We are excited to continue applying these takeaways to better support our partners and deliver high-quality, efficient project outcomes!

We are excited to share that our president, Mark Colin, was recently featured in COPA Pilot Magazine in their Member Spotlight article, “Flying Through It: How Mark Colin Outflew Motion Sickness and Never Looked Back.”

The article shares Mark’s personal journey in aviation, from overcoming early challenges during flight training to becoming an accomplished pilot with thousands of flight hours. It is a story about persistence, focus, and doing what you love.

It also highlights the professional work that has defined much of his career, including the development of hospitals, cancer centers, imaging facilities, and other highly specialized healthcare spaces.That same dedication, precision, and long-term commitment are reflected in the work our company has delivered for more than 45 years.

What started as a routine shielding verification quickly turned into a critical discovery.

During review of the existing magnetic shielding, our team identified corrosion of acid waste lines that extended through several floors that was not part of the original scope. Further investigation uncovered multiple deteriorating and leaking pipes behind the shielding, which likely contributed to the RF shield failure.

Because of this, the work had to be expedited and completed over a weekend before MRI buildout could safely proceed.

From 10PM Friday through 7AM Monday, our team executed a full repair in an active PACU environment under Level 4 ICRA requirements. Temporary containment walls were constructed, inspected, and approved before work began to ensure no impact to surrounding operations.

Once work started, an active line was encountered during investigation. Thanks to pre-planning and protective measures already in place, including covering the MRI equipment, the team was able to quickly contain and manage the situation. When facility systems could not immediately resolve the issue, our team adapted in real time and worked through it safely until conditions stabilized.

The deteriorated piping was removed and replaced with Fuseal polypropylene, a specialty material required for acid waste systems. Working within tight constraints and around critical utilities, the team engineered a solution to complete the repair, properly seal the system, and restore all affected areas.

By 7AM Monday, all work was complete, barriers were removed, and the space was fully cleaned and turned back over for operation.

The team still has another similar weekend planned to address replacement of more of the deteriorated waste lines on additional floors. This work will follow the same schedule as the first weekend.

Through early identification and real-time adaptation, the project team delivered a safe, high-quality outcome in a sensitive healthcare environment.

As we head into 2026, we’re grateful for a 2025 full of teamwork, community involvement, and time spent together! From team bonding at the bowling alley and supporting the SRBX 29th Annual Contractors Caring for Kids Toy Drive, to our annual ugly Christmas sweater luncheon and company holiday party, these moments reflect the culture we continue to build. Thank you to our incredible team, partners, and community for making 2025 one to remember!
