In the future, a state-of-the-art plant in Augusta (Richmond County) in the state of Georgia will process about 90,

000 t of complex recycling materials annually. The plant is a key contribution to Aurubis’ commitment to the circular economy and to the company’s goal of being carbon-neutral well before 2050. The plant should be commissioned in the first half of 2024

Book Bash Success at Aurubis Richmond

In celebration of Aurubis’ 160th birthday, our Richmond team set a goal to collect 160 books for our community—and we’re excited to share that we exceeded it! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our employees, we proudly collected 163 books, each one marked with a special Aurubis 160th anniversary sticker to commemorate this milestone.

Yesterday, Sherrie Bishop delivered all 163 books to United Way of the CSRA, helping support local families and promote literacy in our community.

🤠❤️ Aurubis Richmond Proudly Supports the American Red Cross ❤️🤠

Aurubis Richmond was honored to sponsor and participate in the American Red Cross Boot Scoot Boogie Bash, a special event dedicated to supporting disaster relief efforts across our communities.

Held in Augusta, this one-night celebration brings people together to make a meaningful impact—helping the Red Cross continue its mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering during emergencies and times of need.

We’re especially proud of our employees who took part in the evening, showing their commitment to giving back and supporting those affected by disasters, home fires, and other critical situations. Their participation reflects the strong sense of community and compassion that defines Aurubis Richmond.

Celebrating 160 Years of Multimetal Excellence

On April 28, 2026, Aurubis proudly celebrated its 160th birthday—marking more than a century and a half of innovation, growth, and leadership in multimetal.

At our Richmond site, employees recognized this milestone following our monthly Town Hall, where David Alexander Schultheis, Richmond President and COO, reflected on Aurubis’ rich history and shared our continued commitment to building a strong, sustainable future. The celebration continued with cookies and punch as we honored both our past and what lies ahead.

And we’re just getting started! 🎂

The Richmond team will continue celebrating this historic milestone in the months ahead with fun activities, giveaways, and friendly competitions.

🌎 Earth Day Augusta 2026 was a blast! 🌱

From 10AM–3PM at the Augusta Common, the community came together to celebrate our planet—and Aurubis Richmond was proud to be one of the event sponsors!

Our booth was buzzing all day long with free giveaways like coloring books, sunglasses, candy, and seeds. The real stars, though, were our seven amazing employee volunteers who gave up their Saturday to help set up and run the booth. 💙👏

People were drawn in by the high-energy team, the well-organized setup, the great goodies—and of course, the kid-favorite bubble machine! 🫧😄

A huge thank-you to our volunteers for representing Aurubis Richmond so well and helping make Earth Day Augusta a fun, memorable, and meaningful event for everyone who stopped by.

Heroes United for Hope!

On Saturday, April 18, our community came together at the Mill Village Trailhead in Augusta, GA for Child Enrichment’s Heroes for Hope 5K Run/Walk—and Aurubis Richmond was proud to serve as the Ultimate Hero Sponsor for this meaningful event.

This fun, family‑friendly event encouraged participants of all ages to lace up their sneakers and dress up as their favorite superheroes, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere filled with capes, courage, and community spirit.

Most importantly, Heroes for Hope supports Child Enrichment, an organization that provides free therapy and advocacy services for children in the CSRA who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trafficking. By supporting this event, Aurubis Richmond helped make a real difference in the lives of children and families who need it most.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and showed their superhero spirit. Together, we’re proving that when a community comes together, hope truly wins.

Confined Space Rescue Training

From April 13–15, 17 Aurubis Richmond employees across multiple shifts completed Confined Space Rescue training led by EMED.

This training is critical—most confined space injuries and fatalities occur when others rush in to help without proper training or equipment. Prepared rescuers save lives without becoming victims themselves.
