SPRING HAS SPRUNG! I know this because:
1. The first load of mud is leaving the plant.
2. We haven't had snow in about 48 hours.
3. I got bit by a mosquito last night when putting truck tabs on.

Happy Holidays all!! Another year has rolled right on by...

Winter has set in (although rather mild thus far..?), which means we transition into a maintenance and system improvement schedule for the next few months.

We hope that winter picks up and brings lots of snow for fun!

Want to know a secret? A LOT of thought and work goes into making sure the aggregate in concrete is to a certain quality. Pictured here is the 3/4" crushed and washed rock used in our concrete, as well as washed sand. Gradations are ran on those, which consist of a lab (these went to NTS in Virginia) shaking the sample using a set of sieves to determine how much of each size is present in the samples. That info helps us to ensure the product is consistent.

The morning truck shuffle is underway on this Friday morning. What kid wouldn't like a mixer truck ride under the plant before preschool?
