The Solar Technology Acceleration Center (SolarTAC) is an integrated, world-class
test facility where the solar industry can research, test, validate, and demonstrate
solar technologies. SolarTAC includes common areas for performance validation testing of new solar
energy system components, including areas for proprietary testing by Member
Companies. MRIGlobal is one of the nation's
leading rese
arch institutes, conducting programs in the areas of energy, national
security & defense, life sciences, agriculture & food safety, and transportation. Utilities and solar product companies are invited to join SolarTAC as Founding
Members or Sponsoring Members, each providing distinctive membership benefits. The business plan also allows Members to sponsor a wide range of research
projects. SolarTAC will be open to research sponsored by the U.S. Department of
Energy and by national laboratories like the National Renewable Energy Laboratory
(NREL) located in Golden, Colorado.
