Our Sales team, consisting of Chris Kourcklas, James Murphy, Reed Lawless, and Phillip Meyer, recently returned from the IWDC Sales & Purchasing Convention in Louisville, KY.

Day 1 started off with some fantastic optional events! A definite highlight was the Louisville Slugger Museum, where attendees learned about the bat-making process and even had the opportunity to customize their own bats. The opening reception was a lot of fun and featured a Kentucky Derby theme!

Monday was an extremely busy day that started with a delicious breakfast. This was followed by the general session, and the highlight for Cyl-Tec was our Gold sponsorship presentation! Over 50 people attended our presentation to learn about what Cyl-Tec has to offer, including some exciting future offerings we are eager to unveil. One of these exciting offerings is our Cyl-Tec Parts website, which currently features three product lines: Acrylex cylinder paint, liquid cryogenic repair parts, and propane parts!

On Tuesday, our team gathered in the meeting hall for a presentation by Dr. Dees on supply chain trends and challenges. Following the presentation, we participated in a speed dating session, where we engaged with four different customers to better understand their needs. During the booth program, we were busy interacting with customers and friends, answering questions, and sharing information about our offerings. To conclude the day, we were honored to receive a certificate of appreciation from IWDC for our support as a gold sponsor, acknowledging our commitment to the industry and community.

Overall, it was a wonderful time conversing with our customers, answering their questions, and discussing their concerns. Each conversation provided valuable insights and fostered a sense of community. We sincerely hope that everyone made it home safely after the event. Our Sales team, consisting of Chris Kourcklas, James Murphy, Reed Lawless, and Phillip Meyer, recently returned from the 2026 GAWDA Spring Management Conference in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Day 1 kicked off with an amazing opening reception featuring a live band. Attendees enjoyed a night filled with friendly competition at arcade games and shooting hoops.

Monday was a packed day that began with a networking breakfast, followed by GAWDA presentations on the pros and cons of AI in the compressed gas industry, educational sessions on financial reports to maximize profits and how to pe*****te and cultivate relationships with family-run businesses, and, of course, the contact booth program. Our booth was busy from start to finish, providing our Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) with excellent opportunities to engage with customers. A recurring theme mentioned by several customers was how busy everyone is, and it seems the spring boom is expected to continue.

Overall, it was a windy but productive and enjoyable tradeshow. While in town, our RSMs managed to catch Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, where the OKC Thunder faced the San Antonio Spurs, with the Spurs emerging victorious.
We hope everyone made it home safely, and we look forward to seeing everyone at future GAWDA tradeshows later this year!

At Cyl-Tec, Inc., we take our sports seriously! As a special thank you to our employee-owners for their hard work and to continue celebrating our 35th Anniversary, we secured two suites for the Crosstown Classic baseball game. On Saturday, May 16th, the Cubs faced off against the White Sox at Rate Field (formerly known as Comiskey Park).

We all boarded the bus at Cyl-Tec headquarters and arrived in style at Rate Field. Once there, we were escorted to our private suites, where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks while taking in the amazing view of the field. It was a fantastic experience! After the White Sox won, there was some friendly grumbling from the Cubs fans and cheering from the White Sox fans. Overall, everyone had a wonderful time, and it was a great opportunity for some fun!
