Cyl-Tec is excited to announce another promotion! Join us in celebrating Ralph Price's promotion to Engineering and Quality Manager.

Ralph has worked in quality for over 10 years across multiple types of manufacturing and has become a staple technical resource at Cyl-Tec for not only customers, but also our internal team. Through his growth at Cyl-Tec, he now also plays a critical role in evaluating new markets and products to ensure that the company continues to provide the best solutions in the industry.

In his free time, Ralph enjoys various forms of fitness while also relaxing and spending time with his wife and dog.

Every year, Cyl-Tec hosts an employee celebration day to honor our employee-owners. The day is filled with fun, featuring a Pumpkin race, a company huddle, and delicious food!

This year, the team-building activity involved decorating and racing pumpkins. Nine teams participated, each decorating a pumpkin and racing it in a pinewood derby style. The pumpkins were judged in two categories: best decorated and distance.

The results for the best-decorated pumpkins were as follows: Team 3 won First Place, Team 4 took Second Place, and Team 5 earned Third Place.

For the distance category. Team 7 achieved First Place, Team 6 took Second Place, and Team 9 came in Third Place. All pumpkins did make it off the ramp this year, so overall it was a resounding success.

After the thrilling races, we had our company huddle. We learned about Cyl-Tec’s Board of Directors and ESOP Trustee. We played a Guess the Share Price game and reviewed the company’s financials. All in all, it was a wonderful day for all!

Cyl-Tec is pleased to announce an exciting change in the Customer Service department! Join us in celebrating Danny Leyva's promotion to Customer Service Supervisor. Danny has been a staple in the Customer Service department for almost nine years.

Before joining Customer Service, Danny worked in the High Pressure department for two years. This gave him hands-on experience that is helpful when talking to customers about high pressure cylinders. He looks forward to improving processes within the department and supporting his fellow employee-owners.

Danny joined Cyl-Tec because of his father, Pedro, who is celebrating his thirty-second year at the company. Pedro always spoke highly of the company, its treatment of employees, and the values it upholds. Danny would like to thank his father for introducing him to the idea of joining Cyl-Tec. He is grateful to Chris Tomasik for giving him a chance to join the Customer Service department and to Rigo Aguirre for allowing him to grow within the department.

In his free time, he enjoys going to sporting events, watching movies, and trying new restaurants.

Cyl-Tec is thrilled to celebrate the promotions of four more Employee-Owners from three departments.

Michael is now our Quality Control Coordinator. He has worked at Cyl-Tec for over a year and a half. Outside of work, he enjoys walking his husky, spending time with his family, and fishing.

Deb has been promoted to Senior AP/AR Specialist. This year she has completed her fifth year at Cyl-Tec. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and going on road trips with her husband on the motorcycle.

Jordan is pleased to have been promoted to Warehouse Staff II – Cylinders. He joined Cyl-Tec over a year and a half ago. In his free time, he is an avid Hot Wheels collector and loves playing with his son.

Julio transitioned to Warehouse Staff I - Cylinders from the High Pressure Department. He recently completed his first year at Cyl-Tec. In his free time, he enjoys watching movies and always has a magic trick in his pocket.

Cyl-Tec is thrilled to celebrate the promotions of nine Employee-Owners from the High Pressure department. This year, we have created a new position within the High Pressure department: Senior Production Associate. This position is for individuals who have extensive knowledge and cross-training within the High Pressure department.

Jose is one of our new Senior Production Associates. He has worked at Cyl-Tec for three years. In his free time, he enjoys listening to all genres of music.

Pedro is celebrating his thirty-second year at Cyl-Tec. He has been promoted to Senior Production Associate. When he isn’t working, he enjoys going on walks and playing soccer.

Manuel has been promoted to Senior Production Line Lead. He is on his fourteenth year here at Cyl-Tec. Manuel enjoys his work and being able to help his coworkers.

Rubel has been promoted to Senior Production Associate and is celebrating his twentieth year at Cyl-Tec this month. His hobbies include traveling and watching movies.

Adriano is pleased to have been promoted to Senior Production Associate. He has been at Cyl-Tec for almost three and a half years.

Maria is celebrating her tenth year at Cyl-Tec this year. She was promoted to Senior Production Associate. She enjoys spending time with her kids, dancing, and hanging out with friends.

Margarita is one of our new Senior Production Associates. She has worked at Cyl-Tec for five years. Her biggest passion is cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Medardo has also been promoted to Senior Production Associate. He is proud to be celebrating his thirty-second year here at Cyl-Tec.

Why are CGA Outlet Connections Left-handed or right-handed?

The Compressed Gas Association (CGA) requires unique designs for CGA outlet connections to prevent the possibility of hazardous misconnections.

Left-handed CGA outlet connections are designed for all toxic, poisonous, corrosive, and flammable gases. CGA outlet connections can be identified by a V-groove in the hexagon nut and the second digit of the CGA number is odd.

For example,
• CGA 350 is Hydrogen
• CGA 510 is Acetylene
• CGA 590 is Air

Right-handed CGA outlet connections are designed for non-flammable, non-oxidizing gases. CGA fitting can be identified because they have a standard unmarked hexagon nut and the second digit of the CGA number is even.

For example,
• CGA 540 is Oxygen
• CGA 580 includes Nitrogen, Neon, Helium, & Argon
• CGA 320 is Carbon Dioxide
