Strategic and tactical deconfliction should be unified under a single modular architecture. Building these systems independently creates a critical gap where long-range planning and real-time maneuvering clash, leading to dangerous deadlocks in high-density airspace.

A unified Conflict Detection and Resolution (CDR) framework addresses this by continuously verifying trajectories across all planning layers. This approach proactively resolves vertiport congestion and in-flight conflicts, eliminating capacity violations and reducing the number of advisories issued.

Today’s air traffic systems weren’t built for what’s coming next: thousands of new aircraft operating in low-altitude airspace.

By building a ground-based platform that works across different aircraft types, SkyGrid gives operators and ANSPs the real-time visibility they need to avoid hazards before they become issues, fly predictable routes in busy airspace, and help controllers safely handle more traffic.

Here’s a quick look at how we’re building safer and smarter skies 🚁☁️

As Advanced Air Mobility scales, managing high-density airspace requires autonomous air traffic management that seamlessly integrates long-term strategy with real-time tactical ex*****on.

In our technical paper, “Learning-based Hierarchical Framework for Strategic and Tactical Planning,” SkyGrid’s autonomy engineers introduce a modular, hybrid framework that combines variable-step, tree-based search for strategic planning with reinforcement learning for tactical deconfliction. This unified approach ensures scalable safety for the future skies.

Our mission to enable safe, secure, and efficient autonomous flight for all is taking an exciting next step today.

The Boeing Company has announced an agreement for Archer to acquire SkyGrid, Wisk Aero, and Insitu Inc. As part of this deal, Boeing will invest in Archer and establish an ongoing technology sharing collaboration.

SkyGrid is highly complementary to the AI technologies Archer is developing. Our AI-powered airspace management software is in operational use today, and SkyGrid can be combined with ZEE, Archer’s aviation-specific AI foundation model, to create a new air traffic control product that helps modernize the airspace around the world.

We’re excited for the opportunity to join forces with Archer after the deal closes and build a groundbreaking end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defense.
