During a recent overnight traffic switch, Oak Hill Parkway crews opened the westbound US 290 mainlanes between Old Fredericksburg Road and RM 1826.

Through traffic now has the option to use these mainlanes to bypass several signals on the way to Dripping Springs, while local traffic continues to use the frontage road.

Last month, members of our team joined several folks from the Oak Hill community to participate in the project's fifth annual cleanup in support of Keep Austin Beautiful Day!

Oak Hill Parkway crews install curb islands and traffic signal infrastructure at the future Convict Hill Road cross-street bridge as they prepare to open it to traffic.

The twin mainlane bridges over William Cannon Drive are complete and nearly ready to support traffic traveling between Austin, Dripping Springs, and Bee Caves.

The mainlanes were raised and stacked above the frontage roads in this area to minimize impacts to nearby Williamson Creek and tree preservation areas.

With the assistance of heavy machinery, an Oak Hill Parkway crew places dirt between a soil nail wall and the new concrete barrier along the eastbound US 290 frontage road west of Convict Hill Road.

This wall was constructed to support the new US 290 mainlanes, which were lowered approximately 25 feet in this area.
