Back in the innocent days of March 2016, the thinned skinned narcissism of our Red Queen was a good joke, funny, absurd, not too close to home. At the time we were trying to write an adaptation of Alice that gave Alice agency to confront and disarm the Red Queen with reason. If we remount Alice in 2017, the stakes for Alice and all of Wonderland will be way higher.
