📢 INDUSTRY UPDATE | Imported quartz now pays 50%

As of October 19, U.S. Customs confirmed the Section 201 quota for imported quartz is 100% filled. Over-quota entries now pay 50%, up from 25%, through November 14.

🗓️ Next window: the next 25% quota period opens November 15, first come, first served.

3 moves to make now:
✅ Check open shipments that haven’t entered yet. They’ll pay 50% on arrival.
✅ Confirm the country where your quartz was made, not just where it shipped from.
✅ Get supplier pricing in writing, with a clear validity window.

💡 Good to know: natural stone (granite, marble, quartzite, soapstone) is exempt.
