Exciting changes ahead for EEA!

We are pleased to announce that Jeremy Smith will transition to the role of Chief Executive Officer beginning in September.

As our Chief Technical Officer, Jeremy has introduced several programs, focusing on expanding EEA’s technical knowledge and skills. Now as CEO, his focus will remain on keeping our legacy of design excellence while maintaining a culture of collaboration with a growth mindset.

Jeremy succeeds Todd Schmitt, who is transitioning out of the CEO role after eight years of dedicated leadership. Todd’s leadership helped expand EEA’s market presence and strengthen its position as a leading engineering consulting firm. Todd will remain at EEA in an advisory role and assisting with select projects.

In honor of National Book Lovers Day that occurred on August 9, we’re celebrating our own love of reading and 10 years of EEA’s Professional Reading Program!

Over the past decade, EEAers have dug into more than 20 books and articles covering a range of professional and personal development topics. This program provides a space to spark conversations and share ideas (and feelings!) that help us grow both at work and in our everyday lives.

Your utility bill is telling you a story. It's just not the whole one.

Sure, it'll tell you how much energy your building used last month but what it won't tell you is why. You don't know which system might be working harder than it needs to, or where efficiency is slipping without anyone noticing.

That's what an energy audit is for. A building energy audit can analyze HVAC and lighting system performance and provide recommendations to reduce overall operating cost. Estimated costs can also be assessed to perform payback analyses to help figure out which changes are worth it.
