As a family business, this touches in a personal way. As a fat guy who loved their chocolates, this hurts equally as bad.

Three cheers to the single greatest candy shop I've ever been inside of, with the most delicious chocolate covered strawberries I have ever had. They even beat out the ones I got at the Poteet Strawberry Festival, which is no small feat.

Lammes Candies has been a favorite spot for many over the years, serving up the iconic “Texas Chewie Pecan Praline” or “Longhorns”.

April 1938: David Crosthwait Jr., a pioneer in vacuum heating systems, had his designs for vacuum heating systems filed/active, which significantly improved modern HVAC design practices.

He went on to design heating systems for insanely large buildings, like New York's Radio City Music Hall and even The Rockefeller Center. A member of ASHRAE and AAAS, without David Crosthwait, who knows what the HVAC industry would look like right now.

They say cooler heads prevail. Who knows, maybe he's helped keep the world safe in ways we never thought about. 🤯

Regardless, this is the part where I do our shameless self advertising and I remind you that in honor of this great man, you should help make sure your HVAC system running clean and smooth and as designed by getting a maintenance before Texas turns up the heat and we're living in 100+ degree days.

In another survey, 10 out of 10 homeowners who had HVAC power surges burn their homes down wish they had known about HVAC specific surge protectors.

What I like most about early April is I can't tell if I'm coming across real posts or something from the 1st that's just in my feed now.

A quick Google search tells (a very disappointed) me that this isn't real. That Camo condensing unit was screaming my name. At least my wife and I won't have to fight over Gold VS Rose Gold in the future.

It is with a sad and heavy heart I have to report that our stoic leader, Mark McCandless The Second, has succumbed to an unfortunate fate and has become vegan. Big Family BBQ will be rebranded as Big Family Grilled Veggies. You'll still get the same excellent HVAC/R service here, but you're going to have to give up on the brisket and ribs.
