Yesterday's Development Update Lunch brought together industry leaders to discuss several exciting projects shaping the future of Central Texas. It was a great opportunity to hear updates on developments across the region and gain insight into the opportunities and challenges driving growth in our communities.

One of the projects highlighted was One Lady Bird Lake, an impressive mixed-use development by Related Companies. Located along Austin's waterfront, the project will feature 298 residential units across nearly 700,000 SF in one of the city's most iconic locations.

This week, Urban Land Institute Austin NEXT hosted a lunch panel focused on The Future of Economic Development, exploring how economic incentives can help shape equitable, sustainable growth and examining the City of Austin's evolving economic development strategy.

We were honored to have one of our team members serve as moderator, guiding a thoughtful discussion with an outstanding panel of industry and community leaders: Opportunity Austin President & CEO, Susan Davenport, TXP, Inc. President, Jon Hockenyos, and City of Austin Government Economic Development Office Assistant City Manager, Dr. Eric A. Johnson.

Thank you to ULI Austin NEXT for bringing together leaders from across the public and private sectors to share insights on the opportunities, challenges, and strategies that will help drive Austin's continued growth and success.

It was a fun day connecting with fellow industry colleagues across Central Texas while supporting ASCE YMF programs and initiatives. We always appreciate opportunities like this to strengthen relationships within our industry and support the next generation of engineering professionals.
