This beautiful, strong mare's name is Courage and she has been through painful times with navicular syndrome and arthritis. I am relatively familiar with the product, gallium nitrate, as it healed my old gray mare, 20 years ago. Chant was considered a pretty hopeless navicular case who at the point of diagnosis could only walk and trot with limited comfort. She healed to the point of being able to walk, trot, canter, and jump cross rails happily as my daughter’s show horse. She passed away in 2019 at the age of 29 and had no remission or foot pain. I am a trainer and I also saw a great benefit of gallium nitrate in my client’s Icelandic horse with epm (equine protozoal myeloencephalitis). I am looking forward to seeing if it can help my new bay mare, Courage, with some pedal bone issues related to poor alignment and husbandry in a previous home.

These X-rays show advanced arthritis in the coffin joint and pastern joint. The arthritis is seen in the boney reaction on the short pastern bone between the coffin joint and pastern joint. Happy to report that this horse was not euthanized, but saved and is living a good life full of love from his owner and her choice of using gallium nitrate!

This awesome video is an example of diluting the concentrated (42% or 14%) Gallium Nitrate solution into a 1% mixture for the horse's grain. The mixture in this video is specific for the horse's weight. Please follow the dilution directions on the bottle, per your horse's weight. With our Year of the Horses: here is a special story of love, hope, and care from Jessica, a client with a heart of gold:

"I started off with my first rescue horse in 2017. I had owned horses and ridden since early childhood. I took a chance on a mare at a feedlot in Nevada and she is still part of my herd. After that I ended up with about 11 different rescued horses over the next 9 years. I retrained and adopted out a few and currently have 6 in the herd, two of which are on Gallium Nitrate. Some came from animal abuse seizures, some came from feedlots, one I took on after her owner died from cancer and the family could no longer care for her.

During this time period I personally went through a divorce and battled invasive breast cancer and the horses saved me. They have given me back so much more than I have ever given to them. I try to offer them the very best lives including forage, friends and freedom to be horses. They live as a herd in a ten acre pasture. Some are never ridden and some we ride, but mostly we just love them."

"I have two horses on Gallium Nitrate. Toby has severe bilateral navicular disease in both front feet. Lancelot the palomino actually has ringbone and degenerative arthritis of the pastern. Both horses have dramatically improved since using Gallium."

"I tell EVERYONE about my success with Gallium. I have not noticed any adverse side effects in either horse, one is 7 years old and one is 26 years old. They both tolerate it very well. Everything else failed for them including Osphos injections for BOTH horses."
