FOR THE SECOND TIME IN MY LIFE, I AM "HOMELESS" IN MY HEART. The first time was when I left 235 Cranford Avenue, my childhood home in Cranford, NJ. What was "235" like? Well, everything you like about me was born, nurtured, and refined there. I stayed 'til I was 26, the last of John and Gloria Brown's four boys to leave. But when I left, I REALLY left (courtesy of the U.S. Navy). My childhood home was a gift from the Lord.

This week, we've had to say "Goodbye" to our beloved home on the Outer Banks of North Carolina: "Revival". For fifteen years, my wife and children considered Revival to be our true home. Part of it was because everywhere we have lived as a family was always due to military orders; California, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, and three times in Virginia. In fifteen years of moving around, Revival was only place that was constant, reliable, and we could come and go as we pleased. She was always there for us--just us. Most importantly, Revival was another gift from the Lord, something we enjoyed, cherished, and now release back into His hands.

Tomorrow, I will drop a new poem--a Sonnet--that will close out this week-long tribute to our former home in the Outer Banks. Thanks & God bless you!
