Ayer Shirley FIRST Robotics Team #4905 FIRST Robotics Competition Team #4905 - Andromeda One from Ayer-Shirley Massachusetts. Founded in 2013. Located at Ayer-Shirley Regional High School.

We are the second largest team in the Ayer Shirley Regional School District with 42 students and 28 mentors. We have 6 weeks to work as a team to build a robot to compete with and against other robots. To learn more about FIRST, visit http://www.usfirst.org. ond year in 2015 and we won Chairman's Award again in 2016. We've had the honor to compete in the New England Championship competition every year and the World Championship in St. Louis two out of three years. Everyone is welcome to watch the competition events and cheer on the Andromeda One team from Ayer and Shirley. The Andromeda One team is an enthusiastic group of students and mentors who are working together to learn and grow so that we are able to build something that will make the team, the school and the community proud. Our team motto is “Let’s build something amazing!”. Our mission statement is to:
“We will strive to learn and grow as a diverse team of students, professionals and parents as we work together to build a robot that will bring pride to our team, our school and our community.”

Andromeda One had a great time at the Massachusetts State Championship this past weekend at Merrimack College! After six qualification matches, we were chosen by & to join the fifth seeded alliance. Our alliance fought hard and finished the event Third 🥉overall after making it to round 5 of the double eliminations!

Andromeda One have arrived home from an exciting trip to the 2026 FIRST Robotics World Championship in Houston, Texas! The students had the opportunity to meet and compete with teams from many different countries such as Turkey, France, China, Japan, Israel, Mexico, and Canada.

We had a record of 8 wins and 2 losses, finishing qualification matches ranked 18th out of the 74 other teams in the Milstein division. Our Leadership Award Finalist Evelyn B. was recognized with a special lunch, our team is very proud of her accomplishments this season!

This event had a few FIRSTs for our team as well, we had the honor of being able to present for the prestigious Impact award, made it to the play-offs as the third pick of the number 2 alliance, winning our first ever competition, and making it to Einstein! Three of these FIRSTs for our team wouldn’t have been possible without our alliance. A big Thank You to our alliance partners , , and .

Alliance 2 are the 2026 Milstein Division Champions! For the first time in our teams 13 year history, we made it to play-offs at the World Championships and came home with our first ever event win. Thank you to our alliance captain , , & !
