This month, our aluminum extrusion tooling company in Bad Axe, MI is saying goodbye to two people who, between them, gave this team 77 years.
---
Jerry Lackowski - 43 years
Jerry came on as the first non-family CNC lathe operator, a small detail that says a lot about how far back he goes. Over the years he became one of the first in the die design department, started running pickups to Canada, and eventually earned his Class A license to drive semi. He did a lot of different things, and he did them well.
Around the plant, he's known as Moose.
Jerry's going to miss the steady work and a place he trusted, but most of all, the people.
His advice to anyone starting out in manufacturing: "Patience is key. Pay attention and listen to the advice that is given to you. Everyone you work with is always willing to help."
In retirement, Jerry's looking forward to golf, working through his honey-do list, and subbing in on driving if we need him.
---
Ray Krug - 34 years
Ray has done just about everything on the plant floor. He spent years on nights before moving to day shift supervisor, which he counts as one of his proudest milestones.
What kept him coming back all these years? The people. The friendships that built up over nearly 34 years.
His advice: "Always stay focused on the end game."
In retirement, Ray is looking forward to traveling and camping.

Jerry and Ray - thank you.
You've given this team 77 years of hard work. You've built a legacy, and you will be missed. Congratulations to you both.
