Some of the most important electrical work is the stuff you’ll never see once we’re finished. ⚡

This week we were trenching and installing the underground electrical pathway for a new circuit out to a detached structure here in Bakersfield.

Once everything is backfilled and cleaned up, most of this work disappears—which is exactly why getting the underground portion right matters.

I also like this project for the page because it shows a side of electrical work customers don’t always think about. Sometimes getting power where you need it means we’re doing a little more than pulling wire. 😄

This is the part of a remodel most homeowners never get to see. ⚡

We’ve been working on the electrical rough-in for a bathroom remodel in the Christmas Tree Lane area.

Before the drywall, tile, mirrors and finished lighting go in, we have to make sure everything behind the walls is where it needs to be.

It’s not the glamorous part of the remodel—but getting the rough electrical right is what makes the finished room work the way it’s supposed to.

We’ll grab another photo once everything is finished so you can see the transformation.

Not every commercial electrical job is a major build-out. ⚡

Last week we added a new light and wall switch to a linen/storage closet at a commercial property.

Simple upgrade, but it made the space much more practical for everyday use.

We handle everything from smaller service calls to lighting upgrades, dedicated circuits, troubleshooting and remodel work.

Thinking about installing an EV charger at home? ⚡🚗

One of the first things we look at isn’t actually the charger — it’s your electrical panel.

A Level 2 charger can add a substantial continuous electrical load to a home. That means we need to look at the existing service, panel capacity and other loads in the house before deciding how the charger should be installed.

Sometimes the existing system has plenty of capacity. Other homes may need a different charging configuration or an electrical upgrade first.

We’ve been doing more EV charger work around the Bakersfield area lately, so we’re curious: Do you already charge an EV at home, or are you considering getting one?

Converting existing fluorescent fixtures to ballast-free LED lighting.

This retrofit eliminates the ballast, reduces future maintenance, and gives the customer a more efficient, reliable lighting setup—without replacing every fixture.

Zeus Electric completed 15 fixture conversions on this project, including warehouse, storage, restroom, and switchgear-room lighting.
