Robert Heely Construction partnered with industry leaders to help install a 2MW solar carport system at a major office complex in our hometown of Bakersfield, CA.

The project included:

From oilfields to solar fields, RHC builds it all.

Over the years, RHC has tackled projects across the full spectrum of industrial and renewable construction:

🛢️ Oil & Gas Infrastructure: Installed 6 Light Oil Test Stations, 1 Light Oil Pump Station, and 179 production flowlines spanning 151,120 ft of 2" pipe (LOPS/LOTS project), plus two major pipelines totaling ~50,000 ft of 12" and 20" lined pipe on the South Soft Water & Emulsion Pipeline.
☀️ Utility & Commercial Solar: Delivered a 12 MW ground-mount tracking system in Lemoore with 3,486 piles and 5,200 ft of electrical trenching, and a 2 MW solar carport system at Chevron's Bakersfield complex with 4,630 PV modules across 14 structures.
🏛️ Public Sector Solar: Completed a 459.9kW carport system for the City of Oroville, engineering custom spread footings to overcome challenging riverbed soil conditions, and a 415.74kW carport array for Southern California Edison's Palm Springs facility.
🎓 Campus-Scale Builds: Installed 50 solar carport canopies (4 MW) at Cal State Fresno, including 250 foundations, 9,010 PV modules, and ADA upgrades.
🏎️ Specialty Commercial: Built solar carports delivering 168kW of offset for Lamborghini Newport Beach all while keeping the dealership fully operational during construction.

50,000 Feet of Pipeline Installed. Built for Long-Term Reliability.

This pipeline installation project involved the construction of two parallel systems designed to support soft water and emulsion transport operations. Over the course of 12 months, our team installed approximately 50,000 linear feet of pipeline, including 25,000 feet of 12-inch internally coated pipe and 25,000 feet of 20-inch cement-lined pipe.

Beyond the pipeline installation itself, the project required extensive civil and structural work, including earthwork, concrete foundations, structural steel supports, trenching, backfill, and grading. Careful coordination between field crews, equipment resources, and project management ensured the work was completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
