Planning is at the heart of pretty much everything we do. Can you think of anything that doesn't require some level of planning? It's pretty tough isn't it?

Imagine a world where planning, whether it be for professional or personal events, didn't exist. Schedules would be non-existent, key life events would be missed, there would be uncontrolled spending and mass disorganization, amongst other challenges. The world and society as we know it requires thorough planning in order to be efficient, effective and successful.

Whether you are planning a life event or your next construction project, planning is what makes the world go round.

Check out our newest blog post that dives into the importance of planning for construction!

Planning requires work. Period. It requires time, resources, strategy, schedules and a tool to manage the process. Whether it involves an important life event, caring for a child, sporting/entertainment activities or constructing a 30-story building, you are bound to fail without a plan.

Safety in construction comes in many different forms. Whether working to mitigate hazards or making sure safety measures are taught and being followed, every company wants to improve their safety practices and record.

is a great time for everyone to showcase what they are doing to make sure safety is their top priority.

A Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a great way to identify, mitigate, and document hazards on a work site. The technique has several main components, starting first with identifying a job, breaking it down into tasks and steps, and then identifying the potential hazards that can occur related to each task. The last component of a JSA is to identify steps to mitigate the potential hazards. Standardizing and automating your JSA's while incorporating into safety into your planning process is a great opportunity to make improvements to your safety practice.

Check out our blog post that goes in depth on the importance of JSA's and how to create an effective JSA!

JSAs are important on any job site for helping maintain the health of your staff and the wealth of your organization. Workers compensation claims can be significantly reduced by performing JSAs on all the possibly hazardous work that your organization does.

is a great time to share different methods for improving safety on the jobsite.

The STOP method improves safety processes and provides a good foundation for how safety measures should be looked at. This method focuses on combining people, the organization, technical solutions and substitution in order to create guidelines to protect those onsite and make sure each person is made aware of the dangers presented all while having the correct tools in place to make safety a top priority.

Well-trained employees are the best precaution for ensuring safe construction sites with high productivity.

The inverted STOP mindset (people/organization/technology/substitution) goes beyond safety equipment. It assesses safety wholistically and practically for workers and the construction site.
