We spent last weekend in Mt. View celebrating Bernadette's birthday. She's not at the office much anymore, but she is the go-to for hard questions and moral support. She cares about this company and every employee, and especially her family. We are grateful for her and hope the very best for her in this upcoming year!

There has been an increase lately in people being taken advantage of with asphalt and seal coat work from what is commonly referred to as "asphalt gypsies" or "fly-by-nights", which are people who are not local, travel around doing shoddy work and are costing people a lot of money. These companies often cannot be found or contacted after they leave the area.

When this happens, the customer will likely never get their money back and the cost to fix their driveway or parking lot will cost as much, possibly more, than what they were charge for the subpar work that was done before.

We are not the only local paving company that produces quality work, but we recommend doing your homework before you commit to hiring any company.

A reputable company will not pressure you into making a decision immediately, will not mind giving you references, and should always supply a written contract. A reputable company will also not be driving around town with "extra asphalt".

While investigating how much scamming is going on, I came across an asphalt company in St. Louis that provided a helpful list of suggestions on how to spot scammers:

While we aren't sure that all of this work was done by asphalt gypsies, we know, after talking with a few of the owners, that some of these jobs were.

Today is this guys birthday!
Lucas is our leader and an exceptional person. A Godly man who is there for anyone he can help. When Jerry died suddenly in 2017 he instantly became not just an equipment operator and job site supervisor but suddenly also running a company while also grieving. We're so blessed and thankful for him. We hope you have an amazing day!

Happy birthday to Trenton Cox today. He’s our lead roller operator as well as doing crack fill and seal coat and striping. He’s a hard worker at whatever he’s doing and alway willing to learn. We’re si grateful to have him!
