The Northeast team continues to grow! Please join us in welcoming Zoe, our newest Estimator.

With nearly seven years of experience in commercial and multifamily construction, Zoe brings expertise in preconstruction, conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, and subcontractor coordination. With a background in Mathematics and Chemistry from UMBC, she brings an analytical and creative approach to complex estimating challenges.

When she's not working on an estimate, you'll find Zoe cooking, baking, or reading and listening to audiobooks. She completes an impressive 50 to 100 books a year!

We're excited to have Zoe on the team and look forward to all she'll bring to Southway. With more new team members on the horizon, there's plenty more to look forward to. Welcome aboard, Zoe!

Three years. Eight projects. Strong teamwork, great collaboration, and at least a few hundred “Where’s Rich?” moments.

We recently took a little time to celebrate our ongoing partnership with Siemens with an Ice Cream Social from Two Roosters Ice Cream to show our appreciation for the Siemens project teams and facility staff who have been such great partners throughout the past three years. Their flexibility, collaboration, and welcoming approach have made every project that much better.

Over the past three years, our teams have worked throughout the building and surrounding site, with project after project bringing together a lot of people, planning, and teamwork. It’s been a great experience, and we’re thankful for the Siemens team and all of our team members who have helped make these projects successful.

A well-deserved afternoon of ice cream for everyone who has been part of the journey!🍦

The Southeast team headed to the ballpark Sunday for an afternoon with the Durham Bulls Baseball Club, complete with plenty of baseball, hot dogs, ice cream, and lots of smiling faces. We even had a few special guests join us for the fun!

The Norfolk Tides may have taken the win, 7–4, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the afternoon. And while the muggy North Carolina weather definitely brought its A-game, we didn’t let it get in the way of a great day at the ballpark. ☀️🥵⚾️

Good company, good food, and a little baseball. It's hard to beat a Sunday like that!

A major milestone for Southway! 🎉

Years of planning, preconstruction, and collaboration have led to this moment: we have officially received Notice to Proceed for The Metropolitan, a 14-story, mixed-income apartment renovation in Bethesda, MD.

The project will renovate all 308 units, including 92 affordable units financed through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, along with improvements to the lobby and common areas, exercise and recreational spaces, rooftop pool, and mechanical systems.

The work will be completed in phases while portions of the community remain occupied, making careful coordination and thoughtful ex*****on essential from day one.

We’re proud to reach this milestone and excited to get to work!

Last Friday, our Laurens and Carey House project team came together to support Safe Streets Sandtown & Penn-North’s back-to-school event by collecting and donating school supplies for local students.

A big thank you to Nick, Logan, Brad, and Chris for helping make a difference and giving back to the Baltimore community where we’re building. We’re proud to see our teams put our commitment to serving others into action. 💪

The Southway team recently completed the Duke Raleigh Executive Drive Imaging Clinic at MOB 9, marking another successful project for Duke University Health System. The 6,829 SF, ground-level clinic features two CT imaging rooms with dedicated control room, patient rooms, a full waiting and reception area, mechanical and equipment rooms, and supporting mechanical infrastructure and equipment.

We’re proud to have partnered with Array Architects and Dewberry to deliver this specialized healthcare space and to continue supporting the evolving needs of Duke Health and its patients.

Southway is excited to celebrate the completion of The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore’s Goldsmith Campus.

The transformation of the former Jewish Community Center of Baltimore’s Park Heights Campus into a new 10-acre community hub marks an important investment in the future of Baltimore’s Jewish community. The newly reimagined 113,490 SF campus brings together The Associated’s corporate headquarters, the Center for Sports & Wellness, the Jewish Library of Baltimore, along with flexible multipurpose and conference spaces. Extensive exterior improvements were also completed to enhance accessibility and overall site functionality.

We’re thankful to The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, Quinn Evans, and the entire project team for their collaboration and partnership throughout the project. It’s been a privilege to help bring this new community space to life, one that will serve Baltimore for generations to come.
