Construction Project Manager Wanted
Job Description:
guerilla/construction has an immediate opening for a full-time project supervisor. The project supervisor is responsible for the management of various building projects, ranging from single-family remodeling to ground-up construction of custom homes. As the project lead in the field, you will direct and coordinate the day-to-day management of jobs, subcontractors, and vendors as well as assist with plans, estimates, organization, and oversight of each stage of construction. In addition to carrying out quality inspections and supervision of subcontractors and staff, you will also serve as the primary communicator between the field and guerilla offices. guerilla/construction and its sister companies are dedicated to a high standard of work driven by a mission to deliver clever, cool, and creative real estate experiences. By providing clear and organized communication between the field and the office, you will help guerilla maintain our high standards of building unique, thoughtful, and intentional spaces - while balancing against the practical requirements and technical/budgetary limitations of the site, end-user, and appraisals. In addition to providing on-site supervision, the project supervisor will also provide technical input throughout the planning and review process. The ideal candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, and ready to take on the variety of responsibilities and opportunities that come with working for a small but growing company. As the job entails evaluating and managing a variety of subcontractors, a broad range of construction knowledge and experience is required, as well as an ability to read and amend construction drawings.
Project Supervisor Job Duties:
- Manages subcontractors - must have stellar communication skills to maintain a clear and consistent flow of information between all team members.
- Establishes benchmarks to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Identifies opportunities to improve project management systems.
- Assists in defining project purpose and scope, calculating required resources, and managing change orders.
- Keeps jobs on budget by monitoring expenditures.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
