SCC has been named the on call general contractor for the Mondawmin Mall flood restoration project.

As part of this contract, SCC will be completing a multitude of tasks for our customer including: restoration of all three damaged floors, tenant relocation to include temporary construction of vacant suites, coordination and assistance of moving tenants, reconstruction of 31 damaged office and retail suites and coordination and scheduling the moving of displaced tenants back to their permanent spaces.

In addition, SCC will be managing and reconstructing the common areas of the concourse and 1rst level walls, columns and ceilings damaged by the water.

We will be working closely with a team of water restoration specialists including project managers, industrial hygienists and abatement engineers to ensure all areas are free of any hazards.

SCC has already completed two tenant relocation's including Jackson Hewitt and Dr. Patricia Schmoke, Optometrist. We will begin temporary space construction for Photo Shop and Radio Shack on Monday 1/20/14.

SCC has completed the second of four office renovations in Curtis Bay MD.

We took this bland office from outdated to modern by repairing the walls, repainting with a two toned color scheme and adding base and chair rail.

The major challenge on this project was the existing floor. Due to all the inconsistencies and out of level areas SCC had to scribe all the base for the entire room to ensure a tight fit while still maintaining the aesthetics of the same height throughout, which was difficult given the many variations.

SCC will complete the ceiling tile replacement in the office bullpen tomorrow and move on to the next two offices.

SCC has finished the first of four office renovations in Curtis Bay MD.

The room was bland with badly defected walls from improper drywall finishing. We skimmed the walls out and repaired all the issues.

A two toned semi gloss finish on the walls not only matches the existing hallway but provides a nice accent to the room.

We removed the existing cove base and upgraded the room to wood trim. New base and chair rail was installed along the walls to give a higher end feel when holding team meetings. White semi gloss paint on the trim and door frame complete the transformation.

In addition, SCC performed miscellaneous upgrades including two new white boards, new copper outlet covers and ceiling tile replacement.

This room will receive carpet Wednesday and will be ready for work.

SCC has begun the renovation of the second Rock Tenn conference room.

In addition to this project, we have been awarded the renovation of the IT office as well as constructing additional storage in our previously built storage room.

Finally, SCC will begin another phase of tile replacement at Mondawmin mall and storefront repair at a Baltimore area Sprint store.
