Replacing an industrial fiberglass tank can involve far more than the vessel itself. When a tank is integrated with piping, ladders, platforms, and the building, removal may add rigging, demolition, and shutdown complexity.

Can a viable tank be relined in place to reduce removal-related disruption?

The answer still depends on tank condition, service chemistry, access, damaged areas, cure requirements, and return-to-service criteria. A responsible provider should explain whether repair, relining, or replacement best fits the evidence, and document the scope.

Save these 10 questions for your next tank project or shutdown-planning meeting.
