Pictured here is a Collating funnel for a weight scale. Fabricated using natural UHMW-PE. LinkTech recreated this funnel with customer requested changes to fit their need for easier set up and increases bagging speeds

LinkTech has worked in conjunction with other conveyor manufacturers as well as Michigan State University to produce vibratory pans. These have the advantage of a UHMW, non-stick surface and reduced weight when compared to stainless. The UHMW also gives these a very long life span when maintained and cleaned properly.

LinkTech has been fabricating with UHMW for 30 years!

This black, static dissipative UHMW hopper was made to replace a stainless hopper above two sets of vibratory feeder pans. The black UHMW was used to reduce build up created in the stainless part from the glycerinated product. The static dissipative material also works very well for sticky, sugar coated products

BOLT TOGETHER DUST COLLECTION HOOD

*UHMW-PE Inlet cover and dust hood used on a conveyor pan running cleaning products. This is held together with threaded inserts and screws instead of welding so it can be completely taken apart for a thorough cleaning. It covers the initial product drop point and provide an attachment for dust collection.

This is a small section of a multi piece dust collection system made for a well known confectionery manufacturer. It is made using Tivar CleanStat extruded tubing and stainless steel Tri-Clamps for joining the sections.

PVDF* fabrication…This custom designed tank was made for someone that required the chemical resistance PVDF* offers. When this specific is not required, pieces can be also constructed using UHMW**.

LinkTech met several different fabrication requirements in the construction of this piece. A few characteristics were; interior compartments, treaded fittings, slides, fl**ges, and various thicknesses of material.

*PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), often referred to by its trade name Kynar®, is a high purity engineering thermoplastic with excellent chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, flame resistance, and UV stability. PVDF is widely used for chemical tank liners and semiconductor equipment components.

This "custom pipe elbow with fl**ge" is one section of a multi-floor drop tubing system. This multi-piece, gravity feed, system was designed to traverse through a four-story processing plant. UHMW* tubes are much lighter, making it ergonomically desirable for handling, and easier to clean than steel tubing. UHMW also will not dent like steel if hit for any reason.

This “Y” Pipe assembly was designed to insure even distribution of product to the processing equipment below, while reducing powder build up with black static dissipative UHMW.* This “Y” Pipe assembly is 58.25” high, with a 8.75 O.D. upper pipe separating into two 6.25” O.D. pipes.

Machined, static dissipative UHMW* dispersion cone used on most weigh scales. This piece replaces sheet metal unit with an easy to clean, long lasting alternative. Piece was was machined from a single thick plate of UHMW*.

Custom Cup Filler Chute

This is a custom fabricated Cup Filling Machine Chute, designed by MSI for use on a cup filling machine. Upper chute was fabricated using 1/4" UHMW* sheet material, and the lower block section was machined from a single thick plate of UHMW.

This unique UHMW funnel design incorporates a diamond pattern on the interior of the funnel surface to mimic dimpled sheet metal used on some scale parts. This is to reduce the surface contact area between the funnel surface and product. This also keeps larger "moist" area items from clinging to the surface. These were produced to replicate and replace existing metal funnels, increasing product flow, and reducing downtime for cleaning.

Plexiglass funnels allow for visual monitoring of product flow during production. It is lighter that UHMW, and a fraction of the weight of sheet metal. This is a "Metering Insert". It is used in the production line to slow down hard candies during the production process. This to avoid the chipping of the outer coating. Fabricating with UHMW, we created a funnel stack for a Bosch scale. The larger funnel and small funnel go together as an upper and lower set. While they stack, they both have separate mounts.

The Upper funnel is a section of a collating funnel on a Bosch scale. The smaller funnel is the lower section of a collating funnel on a Bosch scale. These were produced to replicate and replace existing metal funnels, increasing product flow, and reducing downtime for cleaning.

This is called a Moving Funnel. Fabricated using UHMW. It is raised and lowered by the separate rod allowing the machine to rotate bags underneath it for filling. Just a basic funnel, but the fl**ge is set up with the removable rod sticking on the right side. Visit our website @ www.linktech-inc.com
