Bangor Plastics Inc.

Bangor Plastics Inc. Custom Compression, Injection and Transfer Molding. Bangor Plastics Inc. has been a custom plastic molder for 70 years.

We utilize the injection process for both Thermoset and Thermoplastic molding compounds. We also utilize the compression and compression transfer process for many Thermosetting materials such as phenolics and BMC. With our hot mold processes for Thermosets we have adapted well to engineered resins such as Ryton, Nylon6 and similar crystalline materials. Bangor Plastics also preforms many secondary

operation such as drill, mill, lathe, broach and light assembly. Bangor Plastics is currently ISO 9001:2008 registered and working toward AS 9100:2009 in the near future for our quality systems.

It is with great sadness that we announce the closure of Bangor Plastics. Our closure comes as a result from a severe downturn in Aerospace and Defense work. Throughout the past 75 years, we were able to experience great success due in large part to our customers, suppliers, and employees - both past and present. We would like to thank our current employees for their overwhelming support and hard work, making our controlled shutdown possible. I have been blessed by the people I have worked with, the relationships that have developed and the diverse education I have experienced.

As we near our closure, several suppliers and customers have approached me about my future in the plastics industry. As a result of these conversations, I have made the decision to open a consulting service with a primary focus on Thermoset processing and the application of Thermoset materials. My goal is to help customers and suppliers through plastic manufacturing projects, workflow and more. If you are interested in working with me, you can reach out to me at (269) 214-1168 or email me at [email protected]
