Years of welding, grinding, hammering have caused some nerve damage for my hands. Gripping a conventional dust pan has been hard some days. The narrow handles and weight shifted to the front really strains the wrist. During a particularly bad spell, I developed this. This pan allows your fingers to slide under the pan, which puts the center of mass closer to your wrist, and the thumb can latch over the top edge to keep it from tipping over. They also keep your wrist in a more natural position that can actually support the weight of the stuff in the pan. They are heavy duty enough for my welding shop but weigh just under 1 pound. I don't have them for sale yet, but they are coming! I'm not sure how useful they could be generally, but they work great for me. Let me know if its something I should push more.
