The Ascendion CIO Summit 2026 brought together technology and transformation leaders from UnionDigital Bank, Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), Sun Life Philippines, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines, Metrobank, and across the Philippine business landscape — and the conversations that filled the day were the kind that don’t stay in the room.
On stage and on the floor, three themes kept surfacing:
- AI success comes from ex*****on, not experimentation. The organizations pulling ahead have done the harder work of rebuilding operating models, not just running pilots.
- Trust is now the primary constraint. Governance, accountability, and reliability aren’t compliance requirements, they’re the foundation every scalable AI system has to be built on.
- GCCs are evolving. The future capability center won’t be measured by what it saves. It will be measured by what it creates.
The conversations may have wrapped, but the work they pointed to is just getting started.
