Designing a large home is easy - the challenge is designing something small. I recently had a client who wanted to redesign a 2 bed/1 bath home into a 3 bed 1-1/2 bath home. The original house had been remodeled over the years but the design & layout did not utilize the space to its best potential. He thought he would have to extend the 1170sqf house to create a third bedroom, but I have reimagined the layout.
This new layout relocates the Kitchen and opens the entire Living area as one room. The rear wall is to have 16ft of glass sliding doors, leading to the backyard and letting in lots of natural light. The Bedrooms have been reconfigured to provide 3 good sized rooms and the main now has a walk-in-robe.
