Ever wonder why TurboTop Onion Harvesters are built in New York?

There actually was and still are a large amount of onions grown in New York State but as in most of agriculture the scale and number of growers has change greatly.

The first picture is of Matt’s grandfather and great uncle harvesting onions on the Elba NY muck in 1953 with a brand new tractor and onion topper and the second is the very same tractor parked between two brand new TurboTop Onion harvesters.

Notice any similarities? This is where the TurboTop’s color scheme came from.

The way onions are harvested has come a long way!!
